I’ll admit that I’ve not been the most regular IRC user over the years but I do log on from time to time. Until this week I had been using the Freenode network as it had some of the OSS channels that could be accessed for support.
Events this week has seen a hostile takeover of the network from the volunteer staff that have been running it for years.
