I seem to have blown up the kitchen whisk. It had stopped working so i decided to replace the fuse(3A). But we only had 13A fuses availiable. So I thought, perhaps try it with a 13A to see if it is the fuse then i can go and buy one. Problem was when I turned on the power there was a loud bang fron the whisk and a little blue smoke but it kep on working. Needless to say dear mother was not impressed and was not keen on its furthur use. So I took it apart. Seems MR. B.I.G. CAPACITOR went bang. Sadly it has ended up in the bin 
Looks like it may have been fine if i had used a 3A fuse to begin with
